Aurangabad Festival promotes the rich local culture, talent, art and heritage of the city. The festival is organized to explore the hidden talents and to increase the vibrancy of this historic city. The festival generally falls in December. The Aurangabad Festival Committee organizes it. The festival has programmes that emphasize local art, culture, and heritage, through classical dance performances, popular songs, folk dances, Mushaira, Qawalli, and Ghazals.
The festival also exhibits local handlooms and handicrafts like Paithani Himroo, Bidri and Paperwork. Other attractions include, heritage walk for senior citizens, traditional bullock cart race, marathon, inter-school and inter-college competitions, etc.

Ajanta and Ellora festival is by far one of the most well-known festivals in Aurangabad. The festival is known for art, dance and musical celebration and invites tourists from all over India. Painting, cookery, rangoli and other creative art competitions are conducted in the festival as well.
Paithan Festival is a religious fair that is held as a tribute to Saint Eknath Maharaj. Lasting for a period of 10 days, the Paithan Festival is held in the month of March or April as per the Hindu calendar. The fair marks religious celebrations and trading of traditional utensils made of brass, copper and silver.

AIFF aspires to promote tourism of the region among Indian and international tourists and to create a networking centre for local talents from Marathwada region to connect with filmmakers, film scholars, technicians from India and abroad. AIFF also aims to highlight and promote Marathi cinema nationally and globally.
The Aurangabad International Film Festival (AIFF) is organized by Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan, Mumbai’s Aurangabad Regional Centre. Presenters of Aurangabad IFF are the Nath Group and the Mahatma Gandhi Mission (MGM).
